The Park

Hiya!

I'm having a terrible time in my life right now - exams are coming up (photography is next week!), I can't control my procrastination i.e. I haven't revised anything and have just watched Parent Trap and Pocahontas, and I just had the biggest argument with my mum...

I mean, the silent treatment from both sides? Yeah, that's never happened before. And what can I say, my mum's childish, as am I. The silent treatment is a great way to telepathically practise cursing at each other. Haha.

Anyways, I went out to take some photos today and came across a little park. It's so small, it's hardly noticeable, and I've only ever passed it in a car on my way to my piano lessons I used to have. The park I normally go to always has so many people, but I kinda just wanted to be alone for a while.

So I went to this park, and it was perfect. There were only a few people there, and they were either walking their dog or jogging around in circles (as I said, it's a tiny park - the guy must have run about 10 laps whilst I was there). There's a children's play area, which I swear takes up half the park space. So I sat on one of the swings and contemplated life.

Well not really, I just swung back and forth whilst listening to music and playing the logo quiz game. I dunno, I had a good time. I like the park. Especially the swings...

Is this weird?

Random Photoshops...

Hiya!

As you know, I do photography. And a huge part of photography is editing photos and making weird stuff happen.

In the past two years, I've made some weird stuff, just for fun. Like Spangeboob.

Here's some other stuff I've done just for fun (some from before I took photography, I was just playing around with brush strokes, so don't expect much)

Stuck-Up Lady's Office

Yes, yes. It's boring. This masterpiece was made ages ago, and it wasn't so much the artistic squiggles that caught my eye. It was the title:

'Stuck-Up Lady's Office'

My first thought was, why on earth did I think to call it that?! But then I really looked at it, and then I imagined this on the wall of a snooty woman's office. I think it's the colours and the abstractness of it that does it.

I can imagine the office to be pristine and very modern, with the walls the same grey/beige colour. Everything is sharp and shiny, but very dull. The colour scheme throughout the whole room is composed of only the colours in this piece, and maybe white, nothing colourful. And this is the only thing on the wall, it's the stuck-up lady's favourite piece of art. Every time someone asks about it, she goes on a rant about how it affects her work, and finishes off by telling the person that they would never understand it, only people like herself could understand it.

I dunno, that's what I picture when I see this...

Barbed

Truthfully, I actually really like this. This is the first thing I ever made in Photoshop. I had great fun, just drawing streaks with each of the brushes, without having to worry about how it looked.

A headache

I had a headache whilst making this, could you tell? I was trying out a new technique, and it went horribly wrong. This is the horrible outcome, a trippy image of a demon child with 'I have a headache' written all over it. Looking at it will give you a headache.

You're welcome.

Bubbles

I'm quite proud of this. Combine a sunset, a bubble, and loads of little colourful bubbles, and you get this. The saying 'a picture is worth a thousand words' is so true here.

The sunset photo was taken on a plane, I was flying to China, so this was probably when I was over Russia. Just the fact that I took this photo when I was in the sky, with the sun, just makes me so happy.

The bubbles were blown by my cousins, for my niece and nephew (gosh I sound so old). I just happened to be sitting there and decided to take photos of them. Again, this was also in China, and looking at this reminds me of my holiday and family.

The buildings (both the reflection in the bubble and the background) are of the block of flats where my grandma lives. So that reminds me of all the dinners I had there during my stay and the old TV that was on almost 24/7.

So yeah, I really like this image :)

Sky Garden and London Adventures! (Part 2)

Hiya!

If you haven't seen yesterday's photos, I suggest you check them out - I'm quite proud of them and there may or may not be a bit of celebrity awesomeness...

But, on with part 2, the writing:

I went up to London yesterday - mainly due to the free ticket to the Sky Garden my mum decided to get for us and my friend.

The Sky Garden is basically a sort of viewpoint/greenhouse area located in that building that was blamed for melting someone's car. Basically, the shape of the building meant that the sun's rays were directed onto a point on the street below, and a poor fella parked their Jaguar there... The architect either didn't use enough brain cells during the designing process, or he just didn't believe the UK could ever be that sunny.

Anyways, I don't know why someone thought that having trees inside the top floors of a skyscraper was necessary. But it was really cool. Very modern - all glass and metal. And the view (360 degrees) of London was amazing. It was a bit foggy, but still, the view was amazing. You've seen the photos.

After a couple hours in there, we went to Trafalgar Square to take photos, and I did not think that I would be in the position where a security guard had to come up to my friend and me to tell us to get down from the wall which we were standing on, but I guess that happened.

Truth be told, I'm not even surprised. I shouldn't have been standing up on the wall in the first place, but sometimes sacrifices of one's shame have to be made to get the best angle for photography. There are two pictures from that 'better' angle - the ones where I'm looking down upon everyone and the lamp seems to be awfully close.

Also, a bit random, but Death was there. Like, he was beckoning me to come over. Don't worry, I know not to deal with Death. But seriously, the Grim Reaper was in the middle of Trafalgar Square, and parents were paying him for a photo with their child. And he was jamming to pop music, I'm pretty sure I heard Katy Perry...

And talking about celebs, on the way to the M&Ms store I saw Nick Jonas! You know, the singer and 1/3 of the Jonas Brothers? Well, first I only saw a large crowd of screaming teens and young adults, frantically trying to push in front of each other with phones in the air trying to take photos. And me being short and at the back of the crowd, I didn't really know who the famous person was until he went inside the building he was in front of, and I had asked a random fan who the mystery guy was when she had calmed down a bit.

"NICK JONAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!"

That's what her reply would look like, if it was written down.

As I explained in the photo from my previous post, which by the way was my best photo of him, I couldn't see him properly at all. Just a bit of jacket and hair at the best. All I could do was jump up and down at the back of the crowd and take photos, and check every single one of them to see if I got any celebrity snippets at all. I must have looked like a kangaroo straight out of an asylum.

Anyways, as I said he turned around and went into the building he was posing in front of, so I left disappointed that I didn't have a good photo. But that was fine, because my friend and I headed for M&Ms World, and got high off the smell of chocolate for the next half an hour.

And that was the end of the adventure. Well, I went home of course, but I won't bore you with any more details.

I love y'all, and goodbye!

Sky Garden and London Adventures Photos!

There's a bike. Why? I don't know...

Two guys were doing maintenance - hope they're not afraid of heights!

Nelson's double

Ehmagawd! It's about 1/3 of Nick Jonas' head!
Crappy picture I know, but being a 5'4" girl behind a crowd of like over 6 foot tall
guys, I had to jump and take a photo mid-jump for this...

I always knew my chemistry teacher had it all wrong...

Hiya!

I'm only posting some photos today, I don't have time for the writing but I really wanted to get this up today :)

I love y'all, and goodbye!
