NOT JUST ANOTHER SEA DAY... (01/08/2014)

Hey, ya'll! What's crackin? Recently, I've been absolutely loving the song 'Skinny Love' by Birdy. Omg, it's like angel music! It literally gives me goosebumps all over it's so ahhhh... I've been listening to it on repeat for the last three days or so. I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH!

As the title suggests, I spent the first day of August in the middle of the sea, pinching and punching myself. We had breakfast in the restaurant Verona, and then went straight down to the Playhouse to watch a Headliners Theatre Company interview, where the entertainment manager asked questions to some of the dancers and vocalists in the company. They talked about the auditions, life on board the ship, quick costume changes, and the other stuff which you guys probably don't even care about.

After that, my friend and I watched the film 'Robocop' which was on in one of the bars. I may or may not have cried just a little...it was quite a good film. I was expecting it to be one of those crappy films you can watch for on YouTube and no-one cares about them, but 'Robocop' is surprisingly good.

We then watched another film after lunch, 'Rio 2'. This was on the seascreen, so I could have been swimming or in the jacuzzi whilst watching it, but there were too many people so I didn't. 'Rio 2' is so cute. I haven't watched the first one yet and we missed the first ten minutes of it, so it was a little confusing at first, but I got really into it! I especially love the turtles! 'High five...'

After the film, I decided to go to the gym and burn off some fat I must have gained from the whole week of food binging. I did the usual - one mile on the treadmill and then a bit of rowing. I love how the rowing machine has that fish game where you have to eat fishes and try not be eaten by sharks, but I always end up just sitting there and only move my arms so...not the best workout :/

As that was our last day on the cruise, we had to start packing our stuff ready to leave bright and early in the morning, so we did that before dinner :(

Then after dinner, we watched the final theatre show in the Playhouse. It was truly sad, the theatre company is amazing and knowing that it might be the last time watching these little 'after-dinner' productions was depressing. That night's theme was Broadway and West End musicals, with the title of 'Curtains up!' This was another favourite night, there were musicals such as Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables, Joseph, Billy Elliot, and West Side Story. There were others I'm pretty sure, but I...I can't remember *guilty face*. Anyways, that was another amazing show, and also the last. It was very sad indeed.

And that's all folks!

I love y'all, and gooooodbye! Xxx

SEA DAY FUN (27/07/2014)

Hey y'all! How you doing? Before I start, if any of you checked out yesterday's post right after I posted it, you might like to check it again as there are photos now *wink wink*! But I'm gonna get on with this blog post now, the second day of my cruising adventure!

So as our ship was starting on the south coast of England and was going to Norway, there's a day where the ship doesn't stop anywhere so that it can reach the destination on time for the next day, which is when you can get off the ship and explore the wonderful country that is Norway. This day is called a 'sea day', and that is what our second day was all about.

The first thing I did that day (after waking up and having breakfast obviously) was going to a 'Detox for Health and Weight Loss' seminar with my parents and friend. The ship basically always has these little sessions and lessons that you can go to, and there's a different range of activities. You can do yoga, have quizzes, do basketball, have a dance session and loads more. But if you wanted to do everything, it would be really tiring and you would also need one of Hermione's time turner things, so we only picked a few we would like.

This detox seminar, we though it would be a calm and relaxing session, but instead it properly freaked us all out. The woman was telling us about how bacteria gets into your body and it was all things like 'breathing' and 'drinking water' and 'through your skin'. And she wouldn't tell us how to stop it, it's not like I can just stop breathing and drinking! She also told us that our guts were like teeth and that they should technically be brushed otherwise they'll go rotten. And said that everyone's guts are basically teeth which haven't been brushed for years and years. Gee thanks seminar woman, thanks for that! I felt like I was going to die... By the end, it was alright though because she did give us a few tips and a leaflet about it all.

After that most horrendous seminar, I took a little nap. I don't know much about how my nap went, because truthfully I was kinda out of it... But anyways, I woke up after my nap, which I don't know much about, to find that my parents weren't in the cabin anymore! They were gone! And guess where I found them? In Verona, having lunch. Seriously?! My own parents would leave me, all by myself without even a note, and have lunch?! The nerve of them!

We didn't do much after lunch...just had a little look in the shops (yeah they had duty-free shops there!) and then went to the gym. After the gym we went to another lesson, this time it was yoga. At first, we thought that it was complimentary, but we had already got there and started when the woman was like 'oh by the way, when you leave can you please sign your name on the sheet, so I can charge you'. We were all like WTH but it didn't matter because we'd already started. Stupid yoga detoxing woman!

Next, we returned back to our cabin to get ready for dinner. Now as I said yesterday, there are different types of dinners. On the first night it was casual, but this time, it was formal. There are two formal dinners in a week, and for both, you needed make-up, neat hair, and even close-toe shoes if your feet were showing. It was, to be honest, a great hassle, but the ambience and experience made up for it. Stepping into the restaurant looking all cleaned up, amongst other cleaned up people, was such a fantastic experience! I've never done anything nearly so posh as having those two formal dinners before. I mean I haven't had a prom, been to a wedding, or gone to any sort of posh event. And like any other typical posh event, there were tons of photos...

The posh dinner table set-up - even the napkin needed a bow tie!

My friend (left) and me (right) looking all fancy!

The main course was literally just a lobster dumped on a plate...

Yummy!

Finally, after the very fancy dinner, we retired into the Playhouse to listen to some very posh, upper class, sophisticated...rock and pop music. Yeah...it was all great though, sort of a relief after being all upright and stiff! It was a singer/songwriter called Elio Pace, an Italian guy who was on board with his wife and little daughter, quite adorable. The music was good, he was singing and playing the piano, and had a band playing with him. However the songs he played were all old ones, so I didn't know any... Anyways, that was the end of the day, a day of frolicking on the promenade deck and pigging on cheesecakes and chocolate mouse :)

I love y'all, I will talk to you tomorrow...goooooodbye!! Xxx
