FEBRUARY AND MID-MARCH FAVOURITES (and Happy Mother's Day!)

Hiya!

I know it's mid-month, but I started writing this earlier and instead of leaving it for another month, I just thought I'll update now...

I've had lots going on - mainly photography, but also other exams. As I said before, I'll be away from here more often as the big exams come.

But anyways, happy Mother's Day! And happy Pie Day for yesterday...

Hair:

I don't have a product, but I've been having my hair in a half up/half down ponytail. It's super duper quick and easy to put up (and I, the worst person at doing hair, am saying this), and it's just a nice way to change it up when having your hair down. This hairdo gives people the impression that you've spent time on your hair and actually care about how you present yourself when in reality, you've just woken up and are still half-asleep.

Body/skincare:

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser - I don't know. It's not very glamorous, but it works well. It's a cleanser for sensitive skin, which is always a bonus. My face feels clean (as is expected...) but not dried out like the way some harsher cleansers make my face feel. And it's oil-free, so it's good for acne-prone skin like my own :(

Makeup:

I actually have something worth mentioning - Rimmel Stay Matte powder, in 001 transparent. It apparently 'controls shine for up to 12 hours', and 'minimises the appearance of pores'. Although it doesn't quite last for 12 hours on me, it's very good at controlling shine and doing everything else it says it does. And I have really oily skin, so the fact that it can reduce shine in the first place on my skin is amazing.

Fashion:

Although I don't have these myself, I really love Chelsea boots. I've been wanting to get a pair for ages, but have never got round or had enough time to go out and buy them. But you should see me when I walk past anyone wearing them or see them in the window - drooling everywhere and green with envy would be the best description.

TV/film:

Rather than repeat the films I've talked about already this month, I want to talk about Call the Midwife. It was actually my mum who suggested I watch it, and so I did. I first thought it was too 'old' and I would get bored quickly, but I actually found it to be very interesting.

Music:

Immortals by Fall Out Boy - It's from Big Hero 6. Which explains it all.

Don't You Worry Child by Swedish House Mafia - a good shower song...but also good for other times, such as at 11:30 pm, at the top of my lungs and out of tune.

The Ballad of Mona Lisa by Panic! at the Disco - a lot of people know this is one of my favourite songs. When I went to Cambridge, my friend reminded me of it and for the whole way back I was singing it in my head.

Food:

McVities Dark Chocolate Digestives are my absolute favourite right now. I like to think of it as 'junk that's good for you' because even though it's a biscuit, it's got dark chocolate which supposedly has loads of benefits.

Anyways, there were some of my favourites from the past month and a half...

Once again, I hope you've all been treating your mothers well today. I gave my mummy her favourite flowers.

I love y'all, and goodbye!
