Claremont Landscape Garden & Garsons Pick Your Own

Hiya!

Today's been great:

1) it's the Chinese Moon Festival,
2) there's a SUPER BLOOD MOON later on today/early tomorrow,
3) it's been all round busy and fun, visiting places and eating out

I went to Claremont, a National Trust garden with a pond surrounded by landscaped gardens, including an amphitheatre landscaped from a hill.

It was nice but quite small. If you've seen my Cornwall posts on Stourhead or Lanhydrock, I'll tell you that Claremont is like a patch of grass compared to them.

Anyway, we then went to Garsons Farm, to go fruit and veggie (and flower) picking. The dahlias there are lovely at the moment, as are the raspberries and apples.

Jack's magic beans! Mwahahahahah!

❤️

You can tell I had fun with filters ;)

I love you

Garsons Farm Fruit Picking!

Hiya!

I went to Garsons Farm today, to their 'Pick Your Own' fields. It's basically a large farm, and everyone's allowed to pick their own organic fruit and vegetables to buy. I've been there before and it was so fun, the range of vegetables is amazing! I had high hopes for today...

There were, however, no vegetables at all. Only the strawberries were available, and the rest of the 154 acres were blocked off. What a disappointment :(

The strawberries were very scrummy though, so it was okay. You're not supposed to eat them whilst picking, but it's not like anyone was checking, and it's kinda a must-do when picking fruit...

They were so delicious, I couldn't stop!

Such a poser - I didn't even zoom in to take this photo :)

Anyway, after strawberry picking/eating, to end the trip I went to the garden centre and farm shop. There was the cutest robin just chilling beside some plants, and I went right up close and it didn't move a bit.

Umm, what?! This sounds just lovely...
(sorry for bad image quality)

In the farm shop, there were loads of weird foods - this Vampire's Revenge chutney, for example. Does anyone actually eat this? I'm curious - does it taste like revenge?

There were some other non-strange foods too, I bought a chocolate bar and a huge slice of millionaire's shortbread. Yum!

And finally, for those Night Vale lovers - "DO NOT APPROACH THE DOG PARK"

I love y'all, and goodbye!
