Undertale Obsession

Christmas countdown: 4 days!

Good news! I've sorted out everything for Christmas - presents have been wrapped, cards are written, tree up, decorations scattered - come at me, Christmas!

♥

Hiya!

I spent the whole day yesterday watching Jacksepticeye play Undertale, an absolutely amazing indie RPG. They're one-hour long videos, and I'd watched a few episodes before, but I basically binged through the rest of it in seven hours. Seven hours non-stop.

Undertale is sooooo good! It's so easy to become in love with the characters and the jokes are hilarious. There's a certain charm in the little pixelated characters with their signature sound effects and font that draws you in and forms a bond with you (I mean, we all ship Alphyne now, don't we?).

Take Undyne, the strongest, bravest, coolest of them all (and my favourite character). It's hard not to like her, she's got the sass and the attitude to go right along with her impressive strength and kindness. She also reminds me of Chloe Price from Life is Strange in a way, she's tough and hard to get through to, but once she's your friend she'll fight for you all the way.

And it's not just the characters that are amazing, there are all these secrets if you go back, or do something again. The game as a whole is so cleverly thought out, and even though I myself haven't played it, it's one of my favourite games.

I spent at least 45 minutes bawling my eyes out (Jacksepticeye even shed a tear or two) at one point, though grinning like the Chesire Cat soon after. I need to play it myself!

Undertale is the best.

I love you

Concerts and Films, and Busy Days

Hiya!

Ok, it's inexcusable, but I'm sorry, I have been busy and tired and haven't really done anything productive these past few days...

Anyway, I spent Saturday in London, first visiting the statue of Achilles in Hyde Park (eeeeeeek gushing and fangirling, beware! (Song of Achilles, anyone?)) and then shopping on Oxford Street. Which was an...interesting...experience.

My mum bought a dress from GAP, but the checkout guy didn't take the security tag off (and he took ages!), so of course, we were stopped at the exit barrier. The security guy was really nice about it and took the dress to get the tag taken off, then gave it back to us and we all went our merry ways.

Haha no, but that would have been awesome.

After that, we found out the dress had two more tags, both hidden deep within pockets and sleeves. I mean, the dress wasn't precious and absurdly expensive, so why did it need three tags? No idea, but it was a nuisance and annoying as hell. And took so long to sort out >:(

We escaped that nightmare of a shopping trip and went to Chinatown, where I bought cakes galore and also tried a 'red bean matcha latte tea'. I'm a coffee person and don't really think much of the chai-green-bubble-tea phase that has so many people hooked. But I was pleasantly surprised. I still prefer a good frappe or latte over tea, however it was very refreshing and scrummy :)

To end the night, my mum and I went to a concert, of Chinese people playing Chinese instruments in a Chinese orchestra. It was very...Chinese-y. And very intriguing, it was so different from the Western violins and trombones that I'm used to. I loved the solos especially because you could really hear what each instrument sounded like.

On a different note, I looked like I was wearing my pyjamas. I guess leggings and a shirt with 'Sail away with me' written on it isn't really the best concert attire... Add a few hundred poshly dressed ladies and men in evening dresses and ties, and you get me, a gross girl dragged straight out of bed with barely any makeup on and hair sticking out everywhere.

Anyway, the concert finished at 10:30 pm, and by the time I got home, it was 11:45 pm. And I was so, so tired.

❤️

Today, I watched 'Paper Towns'. It's a film adaptation of John Green's book by the same title. Here's a fact you don't need to know - I read 'Paper Towns' before 'The Fault in our Stars'. And it was because of 'Paper Towns' that I read TFIOS. So I guess I read them the wrong way round? Seeing how the TFIOS film came out before...

Wow, I really need to stop rambling.

Anyway, a good film, starring Cara Delevingne's amazing eyebrows and a little cameo from Mr Augustus Waters (Ansel Elgort).

I didn't cry though, which is both surprising and worrying. I always cry when watching a film. It could be a comedy, and I would cry. I don't know why my tear ducts just can't hold it in, but it's the norm for me. So either it was just a non-cry-worthy film (is that a bad thing, or a good thing?) or my tear ducts are drying up.

Ah well, it was a lovely film for an amazing book, and who even cares about my tear ducts? ;)

❤️

I love you

Another YouTuber Comes Out!

Hiya!

Another YouTuber has come out! This is Ingrid Nilsen - someone I've been subscribed to for some time now, and who I look up to for skin advise. I also love her fashion videos where she shows some of the chicest outfits ever, and her GIY (Glam It Yourself) tutorials, although I'm always too lazy to try them out.

This was a surprise, to be honest, a pleasant one, but still very surprising. It's so rare to have women come out as gay on YouTube and the Internet. I feel like now every single hot guy on YouTube is gay, whilst all the girls are straight...

But anyway, when I first saw the video, I swear my heart stopped, as it seems to do for all these sorts of videos now. I stare at my screen, mouth wide open, silently (or not silently) screaming and having 'Ohhhhhh Myyyyyyyy Goooooooood' running through my head. The joys of being me...

The video was so lovely and made me cry and feel sad, then really happy. I'm just glad Ingrid can truly be herself and has found the courage to come out...so inspirational :)

And something she wrote in her video description:

We all deserve our best chance.

♥

I love y'all, and goodbye!

CRY FEST... (20/08/2014)

Hi!

It feels like I haven't uploaded anything in years...but in reality, I just uploaded something a few days ago...hmm. Still, it's been a long time, no see. How are you all?

So I'm now going to give you an account of one of my days in China. I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but unlike the other holidays I've been on, this one wasn't very interesting on most days, so I'm only going to tell you guys about the few interesting days :)

On the 20th August, I had been in China for three days. Three days in, and I had to attend a funeral. I met all my relatives - close and distant. Loads of people didn't know who I was, but that's okay because I didn't know them either. I just knew we were somehow related, and that was cool I guess.

Anyways whilst there, we went through the whole confusing procedure of funeral events and there was a dreadful cry fest (dare I say it was a 'fest'). It was a really sad time... I won't get into details.

After, we went to a really posh restaurant to have dinner, which I'm hoping is a customary thing...it seems a bit weird to be having a feast after a funeral, but oh well. Everyone got drunk, so drunk that everyone started crying again. And I felt like crying even more because of it.

Finally after we'd finished eating and crying we all went back home. We cried some more as a group, and finally, we parted ways to return to our own abodes. And that was the end of the day. It was an emotional day. It was an interesting day. I cried a river, passively smoked about ten cigarettes, and then cried another lake full. It was really shattering.

I love y'all, and gooooooooodbye! Xxx
