Undertale Obsession

Christmas countdown: 4 days!

Good news! I've sorted out everything for Christmas - presents have been wrapped, cards are written, tree up, decorations scattered - come at me, Christmas!

Hiya!

I spent the whole day yesterday watching Jacksepticeye play Undertale, an absolutely amazing indie RPG. They're one-hour long videos, and I'd watched a few episodes before, but I basically binged through the rest of it in seven hours. Seven hours non-stop.

Undertale is sooooo good! It's so easy to become in love with the characters and the jokes are hilarious. There's a certain charm in the little pixelated characters with their signature sound effects and font that draws you in and forms a bond with you (I mean, we all ship Alphyne now, don't we?).

Take Undyne, the strongest, bravest, coolest of them all (and my favourite character). It's hard not to like her, she's got the sass and the attitude to go right along with her impressive strength and kindness. She also reminds me of Chloe Price from Life is Strange in a way, she's tough and hard to get through to, but once she's your friend she'll fight for you all the way.

And it's not just the characters that are amazing, there are all these secrets if you go back, or do something again. The game as a whole is so cleverly thought out, and even though I myself haven't played it, it's one of my favourite games.

I spent at least 45 minutes bawling my eyes out (Jacksepticeye even shed a tear or two) at one point, though grinning like the Chesire Cat soon after. I need to play it myself!

Undertale is the best.

Surprise Party was a SUCCESS!!

Hiya!

For weeks now, my friends and I have been planning a surprise birthday party for our friend.

And it was a complete success! Through lying, hiding, sneaking around and awkward moments, we threw an amazing party which she had absolutely no clue about! :)

I've never thrown a party like this before, and it made me feel so grown up. There was so much organising that we had to do - we created a collage of photos which we had to stalk her for, bought food and decorations, baked a birthday cake, and even planned exactly how we were going to get her to come and how exactly we were going to surprise her. Which took a lot of hardcore pen-on-paper, drawing out a blueprint, and practising to perfect ;)

And we made her a present of 'open when...' cards, because she refused to accept gifts, although "cards were okay". We all wrote a few cards ourselves, and also did some group ones.

She'd better not cheat and open them at the wrong times!!

Strawberries and cream cake :)

On the day of the party, we set out the snacks and decorated the room with banners and balloons (we even hung them from the lights). We got cameras ready, got into our positions and when she arrived...we jumped out at her with party poppers!

It was fantastic.

And we spent the rest of the day dancing and singing like we were drunk, even though all we'd had was J2O...

It was so fun! And amazing, and awesome, and brilliant!

I love you
